The 10 Best Girls Love Romance Webtoons To Fall In Love With

Romance is by far the most popular webtoon genre, but it’s a pretty broad category — and as many webcomic apps don’t have a way to specify what kind of romance you’re after, it can be difficult to find girlslove comics to read. And yet, girlslove is exploding with popularity, with more and more amazing yuri comics to read being added every day.
So, to help you find romantic girls’ love comics to read, we’ve compiled a list of the comics we think are the 10 best girls’ love webcomics out there. The list is split into two sections: most popular and hidden gems, because sometimes the best comics are the ones no-one knows about… yet!

Most popular girls love webtoons

Not So Shoujo Love Story

notion image

Top of the list has to be my personal favourite, Not So Shoujo Love Story by Curryuku. Rei is just a normal high school girl, with a normal high school obsession: she is determined to find her perfect male lead so she can live her shoujo dreams! But while she has her sights set on Hansum Ochinchin — the guy that everyone in school is in love with — another girl has her own sights set on Rei… and she’s not gonna take no for an answer.
I am obsessed with this one: it’s a super fun deconstruction of shoujo tropes, with truly bizarre characters, endearingly flawed romantic leads, and surprisingly deep moments that take you by surprise. There are also tons of references and in-jokes for fans of both shoujo and shonen manga! Even though it’s a comedy, I think it’s also a quintessential girlslove comic, and a must-read for fans of the genre.

Mage & Demon Queen

notion image

This list wouldn’t be complete without a spicy girls’ love webtoon! In a D&D-style world, adventurers compete to take down the infamous, tyrannical demon queen. But one young mage has a different plan: she’s going to roll to seduce the demon instead! With plenty of antics from the other adventurers in the party, this comic is perfect if you love fantasy romps — but always wanted the female characters to get good stories… and female love interests.
Fun, lighthearted, and oh-so steamy, Mage & Demon Queen has thoroughly earned its 300 million + views on Webtoon! This is also a completed girls love webtoon, so you won’t be left hanging, wondering what’s gonna happen or agonising over a slow burn romance.

Muted

notion image

No girls love romance list would be complete without a story about witches, and Muted is one of the best ones out there. Camille comes from a family of wealthy and powerful witches, but when a ritual on her 21st birthday goes awry, she’s plunged into a mystery that will lead her to uncover the real culprit behind her mother and sister’s deaths…
Although this comic can be dark, the worldbuilding is fantastic, and the characters are super compelling. The romantic plot never feels forced, and as Camille gets more than one love interest she subverts expectations by choosing… not to choose! Two girlfriends? Anything’s possible when you’re a witch!

Nevermore

notion image

Annabel Lee and Lenore find each other washed up on the shores of the afterlife, when they are invited to attend Nevermore Academy, a school where, if you excel, you might just get a second chance at life. Annabel and Lenore love each other so deeply, and clearly have a history even they are not aware of. But passion can be difficult to navigate, and these two are suckers for romantic drama!
This supernatural GL romance webtoon is deliciously gothic, inspired by the works of Edgar Allen Poe, and the core relationship is delightfully twisted. Read on: Webtoon

High Class Homos

notion image

When Princess Sapphia’s parents start pressuring her to get married, she doesn’t know how to tell them that she’s just… not into princes. So instead, she hatches the perfect scheme with her bestie (a prince who is into princes): they’ll just marry each other, and then they’ll be free to date whoever they want!
This is not just a girlslove comic, but a boyslove one too! And it’s full of fairy tale shenanigans, which turn the fake dating trope on its head. The supporting cast are super endearing as well, so this LGBT slice of life comic is not one to miss!

Hidden gem girls love webtoons

Stellarum

notion image

Eve is pining for Kyra, the lead singer of her new band, but even though sparks are flying between them, she can’t work out how to make her affections clear. And in the meantime, Kyra is dating around…
This fun sapphic romance comic is filled with drama and the glitz of fame. While Eve and Kyra have a classi will-they-won’t-they dynamic, the other members of the band are super fun and really make this slice of life story feel real. This girlslove webcomic might be new, but it’s sure to be a rising star!

Amongst Us

notion image

Written as an AU for a supernatural girls love comic (Carciphona), this real life romance has proven even more popular than the original, getting seven million views on Webtoon and Kickstarting a print version! Following Veloce, a stoic and deadpan cellist, as she falls in love with the strident and lively Blackbird, Amongst Us is an endearing slice of life that is also beautifully illustrated.
Ongoing with over 50 episodes, this sweet girls love story is a great one for cosy evenings in!

Guiltless Mischief

notion image

The Wild West meets fantasy in this girls love webtoon! When heiress Dahlia flees her home, she soon runs into trouble, and has to be rescued from robbers by Rae — who is herself on the run from the law. On the road, sparks fly between them and their chemistry is palpable, no matter how much Dahlia tries to deny it!
With a gorgeous, unique art style, this comic is dark and exciting, and the budding love story between Dahlia and Rae is compellingly told. Not to mention, there are some other love interests that crop up along the way, making Guiltless Mischief another fun poly story!

Monsters and Girls

notion image

Following the lives and romances of monsters, demons, and angels, Monsters and Girls is one of the most popular indie girlslove comics out there, with 85 million views across Tapas and Webtoon. Although the comic features lots of stories across the world of demons and angels, the main romance features Sera (an angel) and Lilli (a succubus). The culture clash between them is super fun, as they come from such different realms and value systems. But as their romance heats up, Sera has to admit that Lilli’s seductions and temptations may be exactly what she’s been yearning for…
Monsters and Girls is definitely on the spicy side — so much so that the creator has actually stopped posting on Webtoon! You can read up to episode 151 on Webtoon, but Tapas has the entire comic.

My Sweet Archenemy

This is a super fun one! Set in the world of superheroes and villains, this girls love action comic follows the budding romance between incompetent villain Mad Spade and the exhausted, overworked hero Miss Sunshine. With plenty of jokes about superhero movies, My Sweet Archenemy gives a fresh perspective on the genre, while also challenging ideas about what makes a villain a villain, and a hero a hero.
One of my favourite aspects of this story is the fact that Spade and Sunshine are actually friends when they’re living their civilian lives, making this both an enemies-to-lovers and a friends-to-lovers story!
A note on the Webtoon link: the creator recently had to make a new account, so the comic has been migrated to a new page, meaning that the views are far below the nine million reads My Sweet Archenemy originally had! Show the new page some love, and be sure to like and comment too!
