Boys’ love webtoons can be hard to find. Naver Webtoon doesn’t even have a boys’ love genre tab, and you’re gonna have to go a bit further afield to find the best spicy Korean manhwas!
So, to help you out, we’ve rounded up 10 of our favourite boys’ love webtoons, from the wholesome Webtoon offerings, to some more mature Korean classics, to the best hidden gems you never knew you should be reading.
Heartstopper

Top of the list has to be Heartstopper, the boys’ love webtoon that got so popular it was turned into a hit Netflix show! Heartstopper is a beautiful love story set in a British all-boys private school.
When soft-hearted rugby player Nick starts spending time with the highly-strung Charlie, sparks fly and soon turn into the fires of passion. This story, however, is anything but easy. Dealing with topics of self-identity, social perceptions, confidence, and authenticity, Heartstopper is as hard-hitting as it is poignant. Definitely recommend!

Castle Swimmer

It’s Romeo and Juliet with a twist! Merman Kappa shines as the heroic “beacon” of his people, while mer-shark Siren has been destined to kill him. This fantasy boyslove webtoon might be set underwater, but it is hot hot hot!
There’s nothing like two people from warring societies falling in love and overcoming their destinies… or perhaps, finding a new destiny in each other. Plus, the worldbuilding for this fantasy culture is fantastic, and the side characters are also tons of fun.

Daybreak

Daybreak is another cute high school boyslove webtoon with a lot of heart. This is a classic opposite-attract romance, with the bubbly, cheerful, teasing Marcus falling for the quiet, studious, and easily-overwhelmed Cog.
Daybreak is a slice-of-life comic, so it mostly deals with their day-to-day interactions, but Marcus and Cog are such a great yaoi pairing that this webtoon is always upbeat and fun! Not to mention, both characters are trans or non-binary, which is really rare but lovely to see in the boyslove genre.

The Croaking

Another fantasy BL webtoon! This one is set in a post-apocalyptic world populated by bird-human hybrids — and in this society, crows are very much at the bottom of the pecking order. Our story begins when Scra — a crow — gets into a prestigious military academy, and trains as a spy.
Of course the compellingly unjust society, the mysterious murders, and the looming threat of “the Croaking” is all a backdrop for the slow burn romance between Scra and his roommate, Ky — but honestly, the plot of this comic is just as good as the love story. Check it out!

The Doctors Are Out

Ok, I love this webtoon just for the punny title alone! A more grounded BL webtoon, this comic features a delicious rivalry between family doctor Matias and veterinarian Dr. Fernando, as their next-door clinics breed confusion in their small town.
This one is SO cute but also has lots of passion, and I really enjoy the small town, soapy yaoi shenanigans. Recommend!

On or Off

It wouldn’t be a proper boyslove webtoon list without some Korean manhwas! On Or Off is a more mature boyslove webtoon, featuring, once again, some spicy rivalry, this time between corporate businessmen. While Yiyoung is pitching his start-up to a big corporation, he meets Daehyung, a notoriously shrewd executive.
The chemistry between the two leads is great! If you enjoy love stories between worldly men and the pretty-faced guys who get flustered around them, this yaoi comic is for you. Plus, it’s been completed, which means you don’t have to wait for updates!

A Thousand Cranes

Another Korean boyslove manhwa, A Thousand Cranes is a darker romance. Craig has been dealing with a lot lately, working hard to pay off his father’s debt and thinking that his life can’t get any worse… when he stumbles across a bloody murder scene. As a witness, this puts a huge target on Craig’s back, and soon gang member Dean is hunting him down.
The assassin-falls-in-love trope is always super fun, but A Thousand Cranes is actually a lot more emotionally mature and grounded than you might expect. Of course, Dean and Craig DO have a ton of fiery chemistry as well!

The Poisoner’s Piece

When Taegan is sent to poison the sickly king of a southern kingdom, he never could have prepared for Colum's warm heart and kind smile — a world away from the possessive relationships he's used to.
Another fantasy boys love webtoon with fantastic worldbuilding, The Poisoner’s Piece will have you hooked on its story before the two main characters even meet. Plus, while you wait, there are plenty of delightfully toxic romances along the way…

Love In Ruins

On a dig in Polynesia, archeologist Isaac finds himself stuck in an ancient temple with Caleb, the mysterious and arrogant businessman who bankrolled this expedition. With plenty of twists and turns, exciting escapes and near-death moments, this story has plenty of reasons to shove Isaac and Caleb together, even as they try to focus on surviving.
If you loved Indiana Jones but thought it could be gayer, Love In Ruins is for you!

How To Be Human

I’m SERIOUSLY obsessed with this one! A match made in heaven, a deal made… somewhere else. When Sylas promises to teach demon Stephen how to be human in exchange for helping him write a book, he has no way of knowing what he's really signing up for!
How To Be Human is a delicious slow burn, with plenty of fun side characters and false-start romances as the main characters butt heads and secretly pine after one another. Plus, the supernatural setting is really well crafted, while the art style is super lush.
